From Texas to the Puget Sound, my musical journey has spanned over five decades, filled with brass instruments in high school and mastering the guitar and pedal steel. I've shared stages with legends like Emmylou Harris, shaping my authentic country-folk sound. "I Reminisce" isn't just a song; it's a piece of my soul poured into music. About Country Dave Harmonson

Country Dave Harmonson, a veteran troubadour with over five decades of professional musical experience, draws his inspiration from the legendary likes of Merle Haggard, George Jones, Don Williams, Doc Watson, Ry Cooder, Little Feat, and Gordon Lightfoot. Born in Texas and raised in the scenic Puget Sound area of Washington, Dave's journey through music began with a deep love for the brass instruments he played throughout high school. However, it was at the age of 15 that he discovered his true calling when he picked up the guitar, later adding the pedal steel to his repertoire at 23.

Dave's musical education extended through two years of college, providing a solid foundation for his illustrious career. He embarked on his professional journey with the folk trio Shade Tree from 1971 to 1974, followed by a stint with the country rock band Road Apple from 1974 to 1978. In the years that followed, he lent his talents to various musical endeavors, including a six-piece country band from 1979 to 1981, Stampede Pass from 1981 to 1997, and Zoe Muth and the Lost High Rollers from 2008 to 2012. Since 1997 Dave has led his own ensemble, Country Dave & the Pickin' Crew, showcasing his exceptional skills as a bandleader and performer.

Throughout his career, Dave has shared the stage with iconic artists such as Emmylou Harris, Flying Burrito Brothers, Mickey Gilley, Bill Anderson, and Jaimie Fricke, solidifying his status as a respected figure in the music industry. His accomplishments extend beyond borders, having toured extensively across the United States and Europe, captivating audiences with his authentic blend of country, folk, and Americana.

From humble beginnings playing business banquets, Dave has evolved into a versatile musician, equally at home leading his band, performing solo shows, or collaborating as a sideman with various artists. His contributions to the music community extend to recording sessions with a diverse range of musicians, further cementing his legacy as a seasoned professional with an enduring passion for his craft. Currently based in Seattle, Washington, Country Dave Harmonson continues to enchant audiences with his timeless music and unwavering dedication to the art form he loves.
