Eric Koppa - Tenor Saxophone
Hailing from Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Eric Koppa is a distinguished jazz saxophonist. Graduating from Western Michigan University with a degree in Jazz Studies, Eric's musical journey has taken him across the nation and around the globe. His experiences include studying and performing with a diverse array of artists, such as the late drummer Clyde Stubblefield, saxophonists Richie Cole, Bob Berg, and Tom Washatka, among others.
Marty Robinson - Trumpet
Dr. Marty Robinson, Professor of Trumpet and Jazz at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, is the driving force behind the band's trumpet section. With degrees from Lawrence University, the Eastman School of Music, and Florida State University, Dr. Robinson is a versatile musician known for his contributions to both classical and jazz genres. His experience includes performances with renowned artists such as the Temptations, Mannheim Steamroller, and the Four Tops.
Tim Albright - Trombone
Tim Albright's journey with the trombone began at a young age, sparked by a cassette tape of Jack Teagarden. His musical path led him to New York, where he immersed himself in a diverse range of genres and collaborations. From performing with the Metropolitan Opera to sharing the stage with Jay-Z, Tim's trombone skills have graced an array of productions. Currently, as the trombone professor at Lawrence University, he continues to inspire young musicians.
Mark Urness - Bass
Mark Urness, a multifaceted bassist, composer, and educator, brings depth to the band's sound. As an associate professor of music at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin, Mark's performances span orchestral, chamber, and jazz settings. His acclaimed album "Foreground" showcases his command of the bass, earning recognition from Bass World magazine.
Zach Harmon - Drums
Zach Harmon's rhythmic talents on the drums add a vibrant energy to the ensemble. Born into a musical family in Wisconsin, Zach's musical journey led him to study with jazz legends such as Terri Lyne Carrington. His experiences touring with Wayne Shorter and Herbie Hancock, as well as contributing to Grammy-winning albums, have solidified his reputation as a formidable drummer.
Noah Harmon - Piano
Noah Harmon's lifelong dedication to music is evident in his versatile piano performances. With a bachelor's degree from Lawrence University, Noah has explored various genres, from classical to psychedelic rock. His piano skills have graced ensembles like the Water City Chamber Orchestra and the Electric Company, showcasing his adaptability and passion for music.
