About The Whiskey Club

The Whiskey Club was a Seattle-based alt-country and bluegrass band, formed in 2010 and active until 2018. Known for their dynamic performances and rich harmonies, the group quickly became a staple in Seattle's vibrant music scene, playing at iconic venues such as The Tractor, The Sunset, Conor Byrne, and Hotel Albatross. The band was led by singer/songwriter/guitarist and bandleader Mark Pessl, whose acoustic guitar and evocative vocals anchored their sound.

The lineup featured Eric Piippo on banjo and vocals, adding a signature bluegrass element to the mix, while Paul Beaudry brought versatility with his bass, mandolin, and vocals. Adam Pessl's drumming provided the rhythmic backbone, and Jason Goessl's guitar work added depth and texture.

The Whiskey Club became known for their heartfelt, Americana-infused songs that celebrated the roots of country and bluegrass, driven by Mark Pessl's songwriting. Though the band disbanded in 2018, they left a lasting impression on the local music scene.
